Chapter 50. Lia’s Secret
SASHA’S POV
“Sasha! You got it all wrong!” Uncle Vincent kept pushing, like he wasn’t a total jerk.
“Get out, Uncle!”
I slammed the door right in that old creep’s face. Hopefully it smacked him good—maybe it’d knock that smooth-talking act out of him. Did he really think I’d fall for that charm?
Please. I know what he wants. Lia said the same thing—Uncle Vincent’s got his sights on me.
But seriously? That’s his idea of flirting?
Ugh.
For a moment, I really thought he’d changed. Thought he might say he loved me. Stupid. I’m the one reading too much into it again.
I flopped onto the couch, rubbing my temples even though I didn’t have a headache. Good thing the kids didn’t wake up from my little outburst—if Leo or Noah stirred, I’d be twice as stressed.
That night, I couldn’t sleep again after dozing off earlier. With nothing else to do, I picked up the Ellwood medical school brochure Uncle Vincent gave me.
