However, Alice hugged him tightly instead. It meant that she had already hugged Gilbert before he arrived. So, Luna's words echoed in his ears.

"Do you want your wife to be touched by another man? Only then will you know how it feels."

Alden growled in frustration. He quickly followed Alice to the cashier.

"So you hugged him here earlier?" Alden whispered. Causing Alice to flinch and turn around.

"Eh?"

"I didn't want an 'eh' as an answer. Yes or no, did you hug that guy?"

"Uhm... I reflexively hugged him, Ald. There was no intention behind it. It was purely..."

"You hugged him?"

Alden tilted his head.

"Yes, I did."

"Do you remember your current status?"

"I do, Ald."

"Then?"

"Well... not 'then.' It was just a reflex. Nothing was planned. So, there's no reason behind it. Gilbert and I accidentally ran into each other here."

"You're lying. You and Gilbert must have arranged to meet here, right?" Alden pressed.
