Chapter 79. Leo’s Assistance
Nina’s POV
I opened the door and strode in, looking around until I saw Leo. He was sitting in the corner, looking confident and full of himself. Seeing him made me angry, but I controlled my emotions. I needed to know some things, and getting mad wouldn’t help.
I clenched my fists tightly and walked over to the table, sitting down across from him, folding my arms tightly across my chest.
“Speak up,” I muttered, my gaze hard and my voice colder than I intended.
Leo smiled, leaning back in his chair as if he had all the time in the world. “Nice to see you too, Nina.”
“Cut the shit, Leo. I don’t have time for your games or empty compliments. You said May is planning to frame me. What’s going on?”
His smile slipped, and for a second, I saw something else in his eyes—maybe worry or regret. But I didn’t care what it was. I just wanted the truth. He sighed, rubbed his hair, and leaned forward, looking serious. “May’s been planning this for a while
