Chapter 38. Gunshot

From inside the car, Sarah could see Grace and her team starting to sneak into the fence of the white house. There was no one on guard outside because Rudolph must have avoided the suspicions of the locals.

Suddenly Sarah heard the handy talky rustling from inside the car, she turned to Matthew. For a moment they just stared at each other in silence.

Sarah frowned, "I think it's in there," she said, pointing to the dashboard drawer.

Matthew quickly got up and opened the drawer. Sarah's guess was right; a handy talkie was piled there. He took it and sat down next to Sarah again.

"Back door is safe,"

"Front door is safe,"

"Side door safe,"

Sarah glared, "Is that them?" she whispered. Matthew nodded as he focused on the walkie-talkie, tense.
