Chapter 9. Wild Luxury
Since we’re gonna be staying here the whole weekend, something Rick hadn’t told me, we head for the grocery store after unpacking the bags. We jump into the car and arrive at the store within a few minutes. We’ve gotta pick a few things for tomorrow since a personal chef will be preparing our meals today.
As we pick the basic items—meat, veggies, herbs, drinks, pasta, Rick scrutinizes everything before adding it to the shopping cart. It’s kinda funny how he reads all the labels to make sure there are no ‘unhealthy’ ingredients. And he insists that we mostly pick items at the organic isles. Anyone else would have been annoyed, but I find his insistence on taking good care of himself hot.
When we reach the till, I take out my card to pay. He refuses and says he organized the trip; therefore, he will pay. I think it’s sweet, but I insist. I say it’s my gift to him for the wonder
