He was right; as they grew older, they grew apart. I did not need to ask him how old he was. He looked like he was in his twenties, but this was the werewolf world; he could as well be looking that young and be in his sixties. I, on the other hand, would be looking eighteen for a very long time due to the lifespan I had acquired for myself.
“Do you have any interest in music?” he asked.
“Yes, I do. Fun fact: I got my first guitar when I was fourteen,” I said.
“Very well then, let us visit an opera,” he said.
“You guys have opera here?” I was shocked to hear that.
“Well, we do, and it is as classic as the ones in Italy; I made sure of that,” he said. I thought we were going through a portal when he signaled me to take my horse.
“Aren’t we using a portal?” I asked.
“Well, I can’t do portals; I can only vanish. And I cannot do that with someone else, just alone. I came with my horse, Marcus,” he said, patting the horse.
