Chantal’s POV

Mateo pushed her hard, which I found surprising at the time. To help the injured woman, I went to the song sitting, and I was tempted to do so, but Mateo stopped me. I was able to break her hold on me, which irritated her even more.

“Do you think you’re okay, Miss?”

In response to my question, while holding his arm, he yanked his arm away and laughed loudly, stating, “I’m fine; why are you here?”
