Chapter 27

Dominic picked up a chair and threw it against the wall. He yelled in anger and slammed his fists on his desk. He picked up the glass of wine which was placed on it and forcefully threw it against the wall by the door. It shattered on collision and the pieces of glasses flew across the room.

"That brat!" He yelled, tracing his cheek where Kyle had struck moments prior. "I cannot believe I let my guard down for one moment! I underestimated him! All of them!"

He walked towards the window and peered outside into the sky. The night was beautiful and it contrasted greatly with his mood.

"He'll pay dearly for this." He muttered under his breath.

Someone cleared her throat. The sound alerted him and he spun around. Dahlia stood by the now open door with one hand on her hip and an inquisitive gaze.

"I take it everything went well, dear brother." She said dryly, casting her gaze to the shattered chair and the glass pieces on the floor.
