Chapter 53

Dahlia paced around her room, worry etched in her face. She couldn't sleep since she had got back. She knew something was wrong. It was hours into the morning and she couldn't get peace of mind. Her worries were on two things.

The first was her hunger. This problem had happened and she learnt how to control it but she didn't understand why it was becoming a recurring of recent. Her mind went to Mariah and she placed a hand on her chest. She couldn't believe she almost killed the innocent girl.

The second problem was a bigger one. Nuri. She knew she let her guard down. Nuri was one sly woman. She played mind games with her with her sudden absence in the house. The problem was that she couldn't finish her off because of the appearance of the second witch.
