Chapter 23

Nick got very angry immediately. He ended the call and had a singular decision on his mind: to sack Angeline. But he felt he needed to talk it out with his brother and, without considering that Mike might be asleep, went to his door and knocked.

“What’s it?” Mike asked from his room.

“Please open up, bro.”

“I don’t want to talk about it,” Mike replied.

“It’s not about it,” Nick said. He had reprimanded Mike for going to beg Aria on his behalf and making it look like he couldn’t get a woman by himself if he wanted to.

They had argued about it till Mike got angry and told him that he would never assist him again with anything.

“Her.”

“Who?”

“The girl you gave me the number. Just open the door, for goodness sake.”

Mike came to the door and unlocked it.

“You called her?” He asked as he turned back to sit on the bed.
