Chapter 24
That evening, it was ten minutes to 5; Aria got dressed up in a simple red gown and took a taxi to go to G&V. She sat in the backseat grinning from ear to ear. Everything seemed to be coming together now, all fitting into one palpable piece—she could see it now. She has forged herself into an opinion about life events happening every now and then—she always believed that things sometimes find a way to sort themselves out without worrying, and that was what was happening.
Her mother had recently been discharged from the sick bay. Her sickness was no longer as critical as it was before, and now they had a flicker of hope in their eyes (both Aria’s and Mrs. Kate’s). The duo combined their hopes, believing that maybe she would be fine after all. She was well responsive; she could talk and react to touch. That had been a while. She was only able to feel when she was in Indianapolis, some weeks before Aria moved her to Manhattan.
