The soft glow of the screen illuminated his face, and for a moment, Anna felt a pang of guilt. He was trying to help her despite the fact that she’d kept something so critical from him. She had literally agreed for him to be her boyfriend and this was how she had treated him.
But hey, everyone made mistakes, right?
“Okay,” He said finally, breaking the silence. “I found a couple of Liams who fit the bill—wealthy, influential, and based in the city—but none of them seem like the type to break into someone’s apartment for a job offer.” He set his phone on the coffee table and looked up at her. Are you sure he didn’t give you any other clue about who he is?”
