Chapter 18. I Accept

Anna’s steps slowed as her brother’s words sank in. The tension that had been building in her chest loosened, just a little, and she felt like she could finally breathe a bit better. 

She stopped at a crosswalk, waiting for the light to change, and sighed softly into the phone. 

“Thanks, idiot,” She said. “Sometimes, I remember that actually have some brain cells.” She chuckled. 

“Well…” He replied, and she could hear the smirk in his tone. “Goodbye, dimwit.” He ended the call.

Her mood lifted slightly. She felt like she really needed that call. Plus, she had made a decision. She was going to accept the job from Liam. She just hoped that she was going to find him on campus. 

The class that she had was actually a different one. It was not the one with him as the lecturer. So that meant that she would have to find him later after that one.
