As Anna scrolled through the articles, her gut twisted. The story of the guy’s tragic childhood, his meteoric rise in the tech industry, and his philanthropy efforts painted a picture of a man who overcame adversity. 

She leaned back against the couch, staring at the ceiling. The polished image did not align with what she was feeling in her chest. Maybe it was true, and this weird feeling was just all in her head. 

Her thoughts were soon interrupted by Zac emerging from his room, now dressed in a sharp nav-blue suit. He adjusted the cuffs and gave her a mock spin, causing her to chuckle. “Well? Do I look multi-millionaire tech company ready?”

Anna smiled despite what was going on in her head. “You clean up well. Almost like you’ve done this before.”
