Chapter 26. Signing

Anna’s hands trembled slightly as she held the pen, her eyes scanning the contract. The words blurred together for a moment, but a few phrases stood out: non-disclosure agreement, exclusive rights, and indefinite term. 

“What is this?” She finally asked, her voice barely above a whisper. She looked up at Liam, her heart pounding in her chest. 

“You know what it is, not stop letting your nerves rule you and sign, Anna. I told you about this job offer and you accepted. This is just the legal part.” He shrugged, keeping his eyes trained on her. 

“He’s right,” Zac said in a soft whisper so only she could hear him. “This was the plan, remember?” 

Anna broke eye contact with the CEO and stared at the contract. “Okay, I will sign, but under one condition. Zac gets to work here too. And he gets a good position.” 

“Very well,” Liam replied, not even hesitating. 

But it was Sue who seemed a bit annoyed by this. “Are you serious, Liam?
