Chapter 22. Peekaboo

She immediately stood to her feet and rushed to the TV, closing the distance between her and the small red blinking light. And she was right, it was not normal. It should have not been on there. 

She got even closer and saw that it was a small camera. It had to be. She tried to remove it and the moment she touched it, the red light went off. She peeled it off easily and stared at it. 

“What the hell?” She said to herself as her heart thumped in her chest. She then dropped it to the floor and crushed it with the TV remote, making sure that it was destroyed. But now, this made her even more paranoid, and she was regretting why she had lashed out at Zac and made him leave. 

Were there more cameras around the house? She could not help but think. And who had installed them was the question that tortured her mind. 

She did not feel safe in the house and knew that she had to leave. She could not bear the thought of someone watching her while she walked
