Zac pushed off the door and walked toward the couch, his gaze fixed on her silhouette in the dim light.
“Anna,” He said carefully, sitting on the edge of the coffee table in front of her. “Let’s not make decisions when our emotions are high, or when we’re very low. We can talk about this in the morning.” He flashed her a small smile, but it did not seem to help.
She lifted her face from her hands, her eyes glassy but resolute. “I don’t want to go back, I don’t want my mom to win. Do you know how embarrassing that will be? If I go back, Zac, she will never respect me again.”
