Chapter 104. The Call Logs

Anna read the note over and over until she decided to put it back on the coffee table and make a call. 

She stood to her feet and pulled on her hair a bit as she made the call to Zac. His phone rang and rang but there was no answer. 

This made her anxiety increase even more. She did not give up though, she called again. But she got the same results.

She paced the place and then stopped at the windows. The view was breathtaking but she could not even focus on it. 

She called one more time and the guy finally picked up. “Anna, I’m busy.” She could hear some noises from the back that sounded like machines.

“Busy? You left me a note talking about you’re going to make Victor pay, even if it’s the last thing you will do.”

“Anna, now is not the time.”

“Then when?!” She raised her voice, tears setting in her eyes. “When he’s already dealt with you?”
