Chapter 107. He’s the Devil

Anna knew that the detective was right. She did not have much of a choice. It broke her that she knew that, but it was the truth.

If she wanted to get out of here, the best thing she could do was cooperate. 

“I’m still waiting on you, Anna. Let me hear your truth,” the detective said in a soft tone as she kept eye contact with the girl.

Anna took in a breath and let it out slowly. “Zac is innocent. We were kidnapped by some random guy who claimed that he was helping us by giving us a lift.”

The woman opened a notepad and started writing something down for a few seconds. Then she lifted her head and smiled. “So um…why did you guys need a lift?”

“We uh…we were heading somewhere to spend some time together and then we got robbed. The tires from the car were gone and who knows what else?”

“Okay.” She nodded in understanding, taking the information. “Keep going.”

“This guy had told us that he was going to pick something up at his house and we shoul
