Chapter 108. Just to Scare Her

You know? Anna wished they believed her, but for some reason, she felt like the detective who was pregnant did.

She could still remember how the woman looked at her. Her eyes showed that she knew that Anna was telling the truth.

And that's all Anna needed. Even if that meant only one person believing her, it was better than none. 

She stood there, waiting for the man to say something. Anything. But he just stared at her.. It was clear, she could see it in his eyes.

He didn’t believe her. And she didn't think he was going to. 

“I’m going to ask this again, do you think you’re going to be able to identify who you’re talking about?”

At that point, she was a bit annoyed. And do you want to know what made her nervous too? It was the fact that Victor had already warned her.

He had sent that note and this time, he did not even hesitate to put his name on it. He had threatened her that if she went to the police, he would end her.

So
