Chapter 113. Brooklyn

There was a long pause on the other end of the line, and for a moment, Anna thought Zac was going to refuse. 

And she had already made up her mind that if he did, she would not just accept it. He was not safe, she just wanted him to know that.

She had started to fall for him and she was not ready to lose him.

It was a CEO he had killed, so that meant that if he was caught, he would not be seeing the light of day soon. 

Her pulse pounded as she waited for his response.

Finally, he exhaled sharply. “Fine. But if I sense anything off, I’m out.”

Kevin smirked. “Fair enough. I’ll send you the details now. Don’t take the main roads. Stick to the back streets and keep your head down.”

Anna could hear rustling in the background, like Zac was already on the move. “Yeah, yeah. I know how to lay low. Just text me.” He sounded worried despite his attempt to sound like he was chill.
