Chapter 6. Was Not an Accident

The car came to a stop at a red light, and Anna stared back at her brother, who was waiting for an answer to his question.

She did not know what to say in response. It was not like she could just casually say that the cab driver was the lord of hell and that they had met when she sold her soul to him in order to bring their mom back to life.

“I…um, we met at school,” Anna tried to lie, but she could tell that Kevin could see right through it.

“Yeah, like I’m going to believe that,” Kevin chuckled in disbelief while rolling his eyes playfully. “Wait, are you dating him?” he joked.

Anna scoffed and was about to say something before she was cut off.

“I’m Zac Ross, Anna’s tattoo artist,” the demon king said with a smile as he pressed on the gas, causing the car to begin to move again due to the change of traffic light. “And also a part-time cab driver. I do many things.” He cleared his throat.
