Chapter 36
The cold wind gusted out of a sudden from the trees as she walked through the forest. Perhaps, she should have taken one of the horses in the stable for a quicker and safer ride. She rubbed her arms together as she walked through the forest. She was scared that what happened the last time would happen again, but hope had her going.
With each step she took, she grew more afraid as she got closer to the river.
Her heart raced as she tried to quicken her steps. She heard footsteps behind her and Mia could have sworn that her skeleton jumped out of her body and left her. But, she was still standing, rooted to the spot that she was.
