“Now, will you give me a chance to show off my skills and become a member of the squad?” Belle asked and directly looked at Laura.

Laura clasped her hand as she carefully examined Belle. She couldn’t put her finger on it, but something had changed, and Laura couldn’t figure out what.

“Hey, leader! Don’t tell us you’re not going to keep your promise?” Audrey asked teasingly.

“Well done,” Zeke said as he assisted Belle in getting up from the table.

“It looks like the little nerd in our town is gone... How does a kid who often stumbles because she can’t see the road now perform a stunt that the squad has been doing for years?” Laura exclaimed.

Belle was taken aback by the question and looked at Audrey, who was at a loss for words.

“I’ve been Belle’s neighbor for a week, and I’ve always seen her rehearsing at their house since then. So, if you do that every day at school, Belle does it every day at home,” Zeke replied as he put Belle’s jacket on.
