Sophia’s POV

I went back to my mom’s house and narrated everything that had happened to me in the forest and about my new powers.

“I must say, you really have undergone a wild experience,” my mom said. “What you experienced is called astral projection,” she said.

“What about the people in the mountains?” I asked.

My mom answered, “Well, they are some sort of gods. They rarely interfere in the issues of this world, but they are very powerful and are the creators of supernatural beings like us.”

While I thought about what my mom said, she continued, “It seems you have been chosen by them to stop this war and bring peace. Consider it an honor, my child, because you have been graced by the gods.”

Perplexed, I asked my mom, “But what about my powers?”

She replied, “The ability to stop time is certainly beyond the scope of regular witchcraft, I suppose. Hence, it seems you’ve been granted the power of the gods, my dear.”
