Chapter 12

Sophia’s POV

We finally got downstairs, and I went ahead to introduce them to each other.

“Alright, Miss Ava,” I said, “these are my friends,” I continued while pointing in their direction.

“Nice to meet you,” said Miss Ava.

“And guys, this is Miss Ava,” I said pointing my hands in her direction, “she is my friend, teacher and practically my mom too.”

I had picked five people for our expedition.

Obviously, I picked Lucas, practically just to spend time with him when we get to the underworld. I also picked Lily, my best friend, who was the new kid at school.

I picked James, for his quick wit and formidable intelligence. He was rumored to have the highest IQ in the entire state. He wasn’t the nerdy type though. In fact, it was difficult to tell if he was really smart because he was always goofing around. Well, at any rate, he was a valuable asset to the team.

The next person, I didn’t really pick though. He basically jus
