Chapter 11

Sophia’s POV

I knew something had to be done and done fast about this conflict between werewolves and vampires before it led to an all-out bloodbath. I didn’t really know what path to take or what method to use to achieve my goals, so I decided to address the things I knew first and deal with the unknowns later.

At the top of my list of things I wanted to learn about was the Blood Emerald, a mysterious gem said to harbor unbelievable levels of power enough to turn a person into a god. However, it was so elusive that most people simply wrote it off as a fairy tale. Many hadn’t even heard of it, and the few who had didn’t believe in its existence.

I had read on the internet that the stone had the power to alter reality. I decided to ask Miss Ava about the gem.

Miss Ava was outside, mowing the lawn and tending to her little garden. She truly reminded me a lot of my mom, and I could see why they were friends. They were very similar in many ways.
