Chapter 13

Sophia’s POV

We finally arrived at the place where Miss Ava was taking us. It looked like a campsite. She parked the car and told us to get down. While we were getting down from the car, I tripped and fell only to be caught by Lucas.

“Are you alright?” he asked.

“Yeah, I think so,” I said.

This is rather embarrassing, I thought.

“You have to be more careful,” Lucas said.

“Yeah, it feels like you’re seeking for attention,” Camilla said.

“Sophia, you’ve got to be less clumsy,” Miss Ava said as she got out of the car, “you wane head to the underworld that is fraught with danger when you can hardly cope in the real world,” Miss Ava added while wagging her head in seeming disappointment.

“It was just an accident,” I said, “but I’ll try to be more careful.”

“You better be,” Miss Ava said, “at least, for your own good.”

We began to walk down into the woods. We had carried some knapsacks that Miss Ava had given to us
