Chapter 26. An Honest Confession
Sapphire peered outside. All was quiet. Where did he go? He couldn't have left since his luggage was sitting on the floor near the main door. She glanced at the sofa and could make out that Denver was lying there. She walked around towards it and stood right in front, watching Denver, already fast asleep, still wearing his uniform. The poor guy hadn't been able to change. Her heart softened as she watched him properly for the first time since he had re-appeared in her life.
He had grown so handsome, his muscles had filled up more than before. His boyish looks had matured, and the uniform made him look hotter than ever. She would never agree in front of him, but it was true. Seeing him at her doorstep had given her fresh hope. She knew that she still loved him and seeing him again made her heart skip a beat. Thank God Francis left without creating trouble.
