Chapter 17. A Scorching Kiss!

His words had her dumbfounded. Did she hear it correctly? Did he just ask for a kiss? She could feel his hard chest touching her back, his hot breath on her neck.

"Ask for anything else, Daxton," she murmured, with a look of pain etched on her face.

His hand caught her arm, and he pulled her against himself, her back crushing against his hard chest. Aurora gasped at the touch. No, this wasn't a good idea. He already had someone in his life. She might go through a hard time, but she wasn't available to give him benefits.

"Why can't I get a kiss, Aurora?" he asked longingly.

Aurora sighed and pulled away from his hold, and whirled around to face him. "You've done a lot for me, Daxton, but I can't give you what you're asking for. I'm not available, please understand.
