"Why do you need to move into an apartment? I thought I told you to move into your college dormitory," said her mom, glaring at her. Victoria had expected that reaction from her, so she was mentally prepared this time. 

"There aren't any dorm rooms available, Mom. In fact, this place is just next to the University campus, and it's way cheaper than two dorm rooms," said Victoria.

Dylan dashed into the house just at that point and overheard Victoria's speech. "Vicky's right, Mom, but don't worry, we'll take up part-time jobs and pay for the rent and other expenses, " said Dylan. His mom's face softened a little. 

"You don't need to do that, children. This is your first year at college. Try to learn your concepts now. Strengthen your base. You can go for meaningful internships later, which would help you in the long run. So study hard now and get us good grades.
