Chapter 13. On a Camping Trip

Victoria and Dylan heaved a sigh of relief when their parents left at last. Dinner was torture and more like a police investigation than anything else. Thankfully, they were quite satisfied with the answers that Dylan and Victoria gave them. 

"That was exhausting! I felt like a criminal being grilled," said Dylan as he lay sprawled on the sofa. 

"Yeah, me too," said Victoria. "But the good thing is mom got us so much food and groceries. We won't need anything for a month almost," she added with a grin. 

"Yeah. Not to mention the pocket money that Dad gave us," said Dylan with a fist bump. 

"That doesn't mean that you'll spend it in a few days and go begging Ryan for money. Grow up, Dy," said Victoria.

"I'll look for a part-time job," said Dylan. 

Victoria smiled and went to her room to sleep. Her phone buzzed with an incoming message from Ryan. She soon remembered that she had left his house without informing him. Che
