Chapter 21. Cassidy Spoils the Fun

Victoria's greatest fears came true. When Ryan returned, to her utter horror, a grinning Cassidy accompanied him with a trolley suitcase of her own. Seriously? A trolley suitcase for a two-day trip? Ryan didn't look at all pleased and mouthed a sorry at her the moment he got into the car. Cassidy's grin disappeared the moment she saw her in the car, sitting on the passenger side. 

"Hey! What are you doing here?" Cassidy asked, looking a little displeased to see her. 

"I could ask the same of you, " said Victoria.

"Can you shift to the backseat? That's my place," said Cassidy. Victoria gave her a look.

"Really? Is your name engraved here?" she retorted. Cassidy grunted with displeasure and got into the back seat. Victoria was upset already, and it was just the beginning of the trip.
