Chapter 22. Chaos All Around

Victoria tried to pull her hand away immediately, hearing Dylan's voice, but Ryan held on. They looked around to see where Dylan was. They saw him walking towards them from the house.

"What are you guys doing here? I had been searching everywhere for you," asked Dylan, looking at the two of them with a grin. Then his eyes fell upon their joined hands and he frowned.

"Hey, bro! We were just checking out the property," said Ryan, glancing at Victoria. He released her hand, seeing Dylan frown.

"Holding hands?" asked Dylan with an eye roll. Victoria giggled. 

"Is it an issue? Don't you and Ryan hold hands sometimes, too?" asked Victoria. A furry rodent brushed past them at such a speed that she jumped with fear and caught Ryan's hand again. Dylan chuckled and left the topic thankfully.
