Chapter 20. Wanting Another Kiss

Greg Stanford glared at his son. “Robbie, hang on,” he scolded him, making Robbie wait outside. “I’ll destroy you if you don’t pay me my dues, Claire. As for the house and jewelry, your mom has signed everything for me. I can furnish you with the proof. So if you involve the police, you'd be the one who would go to jail, not me, for not paying me my money,” he said with a smug look on his face. Claire was stunned by his words. How could her mom give everything away to these two? Didn’t she once think about her? She knew they had cornered her, and she had no choice but to pay him.

“Fine, I’ll pay you, but you cannot arrive here every alternate day to threaten me. You have agreed to give me four months' time. So I’ll see you only after four months,” she told him. Greg Stanford smiled and got up. 

“Sure,” he said as he walked out of the office room and out of the bakery with his son. Claire massaged her head and walked out of her office to see Nate waiting for her.
