Chapter 25. Leave or Stay

Ashley’s POV

“Oh, mom! I’ve waited for you all day, what took you so long?”

It was almost nightfall when my mother came and visit me at the guest house. We talked over the phone and plan to meet today. I am ready to go but my heart feels heavy, something incomprehensible is bothering my heart. I need her to tell me what’s the best thing to do.

Her hands tightened around me as she answers my question. “I am not alone sweetie.”

The door opened wide as soon as she finished the short sentence and the tall figure of the great Alpha King Jack entered the house. Suddenly the surrounding feels small for the two of us with his presence being added.

“How are you doing Miss Snipes? I’m sorry to be interrupting your mother and daughter moment nevertheless, your mother and I have a brief meeting this morning.”
