She was still on him, like a snake; she slithered herself into Killian’s form. My heart shattered. I felt betrayed, I felt like a fool. He did have another woman; it was clear to me now. Why else would she be here, looking at him like that?

I instinctively took a step back. Andrew looked at me, and I could see the pity in his eyes, confirming what I had just found out. Killian was with the blonde.

He made me absolutely full. In front of me stood my mate, the only one whom the Goddess herself had deemed worthy to be with me. The only one that I was to share eternity with.
