Chapter 27

Killian hadn’t left my side for a second. There were people attempting to approach us, but they were almost always kept back by Andrew and Philip. Philip had taken up the role of the mighty protector of the Luna almost too well. Wherever Killian and I wandered, he was there. Andrew would sometimes get pulled away by a few unknown people who wanted to talk politics.

By the time people began taking their places at the large table to enjoy their meals, I had a headache, and Killian had been swept away by a council member to talk about treaties, leaving me alone with a not-so-enthusiastic Aurora and Philip, who was as still and rigid as a statue, just as unmoving too.
