Chapter 31. Winter Solstice Celebration

Elara POV

I stand in front of the mirror in the gold gown that Zeke got for me. It is truly lovely, but the outline of the scar on my neck is clearly visible. My fingers run across the scar, and tears run down my face, ruining my makeup. I know rumors have spread about me, and the scars will only fuel those rumors. I acted foolishly trying to end my life and it is a hot topic among the Omegas.

I am so busy glaring at myself that I do not hear someone enter my room, but Cedar fills my senses, and I know it is one of the triplets.

“Close your eyes,” Zane’s voice whispers next to my ear.

“We don’t have time for games,” I pout. “I have already ruined my makeup.”

“Just do it,” Zane groans.

Stomping my feet in protest, I close my eyes and let out a huff of frustration. Zane steps closer to me, and I can feel the heat of his body against my back. He runs his fingers along the bare skin on my back, and goosebumps rise on my skin, causing me to shiv
