Chapter 50. First Male In A Century

Elara POV

Pain surged through my body all night. It felt like someone stabbing me in the back. It came in uncomfortable waves. The only explanation is that one or all of the triplets have finally picked a chosen mate.

In a brief reprieve from the pain, I lay in my bed and stare up at the ceiling. I knew this day would come. I had prepared myself for it mentally, but nothing could prepare me for the pain I actually felt. Another wave of pain takes over my body, and I cuss out loud.

Gently, I rub my enormous stomach, hoping my pain can’t be felt by my son.

“Luna,” Cinder calls from my doorway. “Are you okay?”

“Yes,” I respond through gritted teeth.

Cinder invites herself into my room without me asking. Her brows knit together in concern when she sees me.

“You look like shit,” she says as she gets closer.

“I think the triplets have moved on,” I reply through my tears. ‘‘I have been feeling the pain all night.”
