Enrico didn’t hesitate. “I know he is,” he replied, his voice hard and unwavering. “And I’m going to find out what. If I discover he had anything to do with what happened to Ares, I’ll kill him, whether you give the order or not.”
There was a dangerous edge to Enrico’s voice that made even Enzo take notice. He could see the determination in his son’s eyes, a steely resolve that would not be easily swayed. Enzo knew that once Enrico set his mind on something, there was no turning back. He would hunt Antonio down like a bloodhound on the scent of prey.
“Do what you must,” Enzo said finally, his voice cold and detached. “But be careful. We can’t afford any mistakes. If Antonio is guilty, I want irrefutable proof before we make a move. This has to be handled delicately, with precision.”
Enrico nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. “I’ll be discreet,” he promised. “But I’ll find out the truth, one way or another.”
