Selena opened her eyes and stared at the ceiling, worried out of her mind as to what she was going to do next. She had no clue at all.

Then the door made a sound, and someone walked in.

The familiar cologne was enough to let her know who it was. She looked over and saw that it was Elijah. He made his way over to the bed and sat down.

He flashed her a very small smile before sighing. “How do you feel?”

She tried to sit up, and pain pinched her belly, so she just remained lying down. “I feel like I’m not healing,” She confessed. “I have gotten hurt a few times in my life, and none of them feel like now.”

“Well, you were given wolfbane, Selena. That’s something that is specifically used to kill our kind. So yeah, your fast healing is kind of thrown off right now. You’re really lucky to be alive, let alone even conscious right now,” He explained.
