Gabbie POV

General Kahn and a group of men entered the Augustus Hall room. Surprisingly, we all fit inside. I searched the crowd for Leiah or Emery. We got separated when Serena grabbed me.

They’re still here. I spotted Leiah and Emery among a few wolves from the Dale Pack.

“Dad warned us about Kahn,” I whispered.

“When?” Kade asked, tightening his hold on me.

“Minutes ago. I think he was attacked again. There’s nowhere he can hide where they won’t find him.”

“I shouldn’t have brought you.”

“Enough with the regrets. We’re in this together.”

“Clearly, why I’m in love with you.”

I noticed a few older men entering the hall, dressed in leather suits, gloves and masks, covering their mouths and wearing thick combat boots.

Kade stroked my hair and pushed doses of Alpha power into me. Instead of calming my nerves like he was trying to do he made me nervous.

“What’s going on?” I asked.

“Reinforcements.”
