“Everything’s gone,” the man who made a living selling milk said, picking up the remains of his shop.

“How will we rebuild?” Miss Grace said. She owned a hair salon.

Kade and his betas were inspecting the rubble. They searched for scents, hairs and anything to tie Kahn’s soldiers. Things were getting out of hand.

“Don’t worry, we’ll rebuild. This entire block will be better and brighter,” I said.

“Rebuilding isn’t so easy, Miss,” Mr Bennet said, shaking his head.

My heart ached for them. This was their entire life gone in a simple fire.

“It won’t be impossible. We’ll go to the insurance company, and the Alpha will help you all get loans.”
