Chapter 122
Gabbie POV
“What do we do?” I screamed.
“I don’t know!” Leiah shouted louder.
A blood-curdling growl came from outside.
“I knew this was a bad idea,” I said.
The car rattled again, and the growling got deeper.
“Do we get out?”
“Are you crazy, Gabbie? We don’t know what that thing is.”
I climbed into the backseat and looked through the windscreen. A beast standing on two legs with red glowing eyes stood two feet from the car. I swallowed. It stared at us, panting heavily, bearing its razor-sharp fangs.
“Leiah, what kind of a wolf is that?” I swallowed.
I couldn’t break eye contact, nor could it. It was eight feet tall with spikey black hair all over its large body.
Leiah whimpered. “Looks like a Lycan. Why did I get in this car with you?”
“This was your idea.”
“I know now we’re in shit.”
The lycan’s breathing calmed. Its arms rested at the sides, and his features relaxed.
