“Still don’t drink, honey?” Mom asked as she took a swig of a sparkling blue liquid.
It looked like Neel’s hair.
“I can have something,” I said.
Neel raised his brow. I frowned. We’ve known each other for eight hours, how could he know I was a lightweight?
“What? I want a beer.”
Neel leaned forward. “We don’t want to be carrying you out of here.”
I curled my lips upwards.
“Leave her alone, Neel. Get my daughter a beer, please,” Mom told the bartender.
I might have been high on adrenaline last night or possessed because I shouldn’t have left Kade like that. I should have gone back to Leiah’s house, but my mind was all over the place. I was angry and agitated.
