Kade POV
“Where is she?” I asked at five in the morning at Atlas’s house.
“Who man?” He grumbled, rubbing his eyes.
“Gabbie. She left the pack house. It was weird, dude.”
“Gabbie isn’t with you? She didn’t come home.”
No, I shouldn’t have let her leave. It wasn’t like I was talking to the woman I love. She was someone else last night.
“Relax, we’ll find her.”
“She’s not from here. Where could she have gone?”
I waited as Atlas slipped back inside and changed. I pulled out my phone and dialled her number, but it went to voicemail. We climbed into my SUV and didn’t move out of his driveway.
“It’s five in the morning. She couldn’t be at work already,” Atlas said.
I gripped the wheel. I hated the thought of my mate sleeping in a park or in the woods. She can’t shift right now so she doesn’t have the warmth of her wolf to keep her safe.
