Chapter 69

Bridget’s POV

I’m happy we were able to find Scott, but I don’t want to wait before I try to find the next person. I know I didn’t actually get the right individual this time, but I’m happy that at least I still have gotten someone on our list. However, we don’t have time to waste in finding the others. That is why I’m sitting in the elder’s office.

I look across the Supreme Elder’s desk and nearly beg, “Please, Supreme Elder. I haven’t learned how to properly use my ability yet, and I don’t want to mess up. Can you please help me locate the other pieces?”

With a stern look on her face, she slowly shakes her head. “No. I can’t. You know I can’t interfere that much. If I do, then the future will change, and all your efforts will be for not.” She stares at me as if she is looking deep into my soul and slowly sighs. “You were able to use your ability on your own with Scott. I’m sure you can do it again. You just need to focus. That is all that I can say.”
