Mike’s POV

Can I actually move out? Or better yet, can I throw the backstabbing, power-hungry Bambi out?

I still can’t believe she worked with my father to get me to mark her. I have trusted them, and they all have betrayed me.

I continue to pace back and forth in my bedroom.

Could I really kick Bambi out without any issue? That would be the best option, but the rule of the pack is that I must have a mate beside me to take the alpha title. Wait. What am I talking about? I should already have the alpha title.

If my father is willing to deny me my true happiness all for power, is he really going to allow me to actually take the alpha title?

I stop and stand frozen like a statue.

My father is power hungry. He betrayed me about my mate just to get another alliance under his belt. I’m not even talking about all the dirty tricks that I have discovered him using to get most of those alliance agreements from the gathering.

He wouldn’t.
