Mike’s POV

I can’t stop pacing back and forth in my hotel room. I have been here for several days, but I still don’t feel at ease. My father is out there somewhere. All it takes is one wrong move and bam—I’ll be back in my pack with my father breathing down my throat again.

I’m not going back while he is there.

I know Former Alpha Seth told me I’m safe here, but I just don’t feel like it.

As I turn to go back the other direction, my eyes linger on the curtains. I really want to say forget it and just open them, but I know my father’s men and allies could see me then. So, I’m going to just leave the curtains shut and leave myself practically caged in my hotel room.
